Mike Day, Rest in Peace
Mike Day was engaged in one of the most intense firefights that a person has ever survived, including being shot 27 times (of which 11 hit his body armor and 16 hit him). Mike Day passed away earlier this week.

Note the small tattoo of a bullet hole on his arm. It covers a scar from an actual bullet hole. He has those tattoos all over his body.

Just One Thing (about one of day's guests)
As far as I can recall I’ve only ever dreamt of meeting two people. And they were always in the same dream because they’re brothers. I was such a huge fan of the band The Kinks in my early 20s that I dreamt of meeting the two brothers, Ray and Dave Davies, who founded the band, and it was always meeting them in a bar for a drink after a Kinks concert. Today, I'll have Dave on my show for the first time. Pretty darn close to making a dream come true.
Who’s someone who’s alive today whom you’ve dreamt of meeting, and did you ever meet him or her? Tell me your story at ross@iheartmedia.com. I know it’s cheesy, but this is a great day for me.

Today's Guests
Dave Davies is co-founder and lead guitarist of The Kinks, maybe the greatest rock band of all time. The Kinks were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. There's so much to say that I probably shouldn't say much here because I'll never stop, but just a couple of things.
