Mike Day, rest in peace
I've learned this morning that former Navy SEAL Mike Day passed away. It's being reported in some places that the cause of death was suicide. While I won't dwell on that, I can't say that I'm terribly surprised.
I met Mike Day at the SHOT Show in 2020 and had him on my radio show. I hope you'll do him the honor of listening to that conversation.
He wrote a book about the physical and emotional damage done to him in one brutal battle inside a house in Iraq where he was shot 27 times. (11 hit his body armor; 16 hit him directly.)
