Just One Thing: With Victor Marx it's beginning to feel a lot like Griftmas (and I hope I'm wrong)
I spent an immense amount of time writing a full note about one topic on today's show: my current thoughts on Republican candidate for governor, Victor Marx, which I published separately.
Please read my thoughts (and share if you'd like to) and please subscribe (for free!) to my Substack here: Thoughts on Victor Marx - by Ross Kaminsky

Real estate agent Ed Prather is a friend and a morning show partner. We'll discuss the confounding data surrounding Denver metro real estate.

David Seligman is a "progressive" candidate for Colorado Attorney General. It'll be interesting to see what we agree on and what we don't. I suspect there will be more of the latter but let's have the conversation.
A couple of bills he's publicly supporting, along with a public push against data centers:

HB26-1210 Prohibit Surveillance Price & Wage Setting | Colorado General Assembly

Other Stuff
The next step is to try to figure out if it's really Epstein's handwriting and you can bet a bunch of experts are examining that question already. To my untrained it, it looks like his writing (when compared to another document available online.): Alleged suicide note written by Jeffrey Epstein unsealed by federal judge | Jeffrey Epstein | The Guardian

Well that's no good: 6 weeks after Denver garage collapse, drivers say they’re still waiting for cars

I'm sure we could actually figure out the answer to this question by making certain assumptions but I'm not going to try: what are the odds of any person who has never won this particular lottery before winning it twice? (Obviously the answer depends on how many times you play, but no matter what the odds are long indeed): Maryland man collects his second $50,000 lottery prize in two weeks - UPI.com

Could Colorado's historically deep-red 5th Congressional District (including Colorado Springs) be won by a Democrat. I think it's unlikely but Dems seem to think they have a chance: Crank challenger Jessica Killin named to House Democrats’ ‘Red to Blue’ program in Colorado’s 5th CD - Colorado Politics

It's ugly out there if you want to take a flight, though Frontier Airlines is happier than most with its stock price up about 33% since Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy:

Look, I understand this is a "gotcha" question from a Democratic senator but seriously how can this guy look himself in the mirror after giving this answer? And who really wants to serve a government that requires such intellectual dishonesty?

I just want you to know that when I went to the Avalanche game on Tuesday night, the stadium charged $50 for parking. That was darn close to offensively high. What do you think?

This passed the State House yesterday. It’s a disaster waiting to happen and it’s obviously not about principle because the disapproved behavior is permitted if engaged in by smaller banks but not my very big banks.

It may well be that all laws like this are illegal due to federal supremacy: National Bank Non-Interest Charges and Fees: Interim Final Rule | OCC

We’re talking about roughly 2% on 8% of a transaction, or about 0.15%-0.2% of the value of a transaction. Yes, in the aggregate it’s big money but not the difference between the existence of rewards and not. The real issue is the logistical nightmare of trying to make this work. I think it will cause massive turmoil for shoppers and retailers.
