State Senator Barb Kirkmeyer is seeking the Republican nomination for governor. Yesterday she turned in her petitions/signatures which, if found sufficient by the Secretary of State's office, will put her on the ballot without having to go through the GOP State Assembly, an event that seems less useful with each passing election cycle due to being more and more dominated by fringe folks who don't care if a candidate they prefer can't win an election.

Tough day for RFK Jr. I'm torn on this. I think the judge is obviously right that the recent moves by RFK's vaccine committee are not based in science. But it's unclear to me whether that's actually illegal, or whether an executive branch agency can be insane if it wants to be.
