Trisha Calvarese Seeking the Democratic Nomination for Congress

Trisha Calvarese is seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress in the 4th Congressional District, where she would be running against Lauren Boebert. She joins me and Jeana in studio.

Trisha 4 Colorado

Not an easy district for a Democrat to win (actually, the toughest in Colorado) and Lauren hasn't been as silly or controversial recently as she was when she first got into Congress. Colorado CO-04 House : 2026 | Cook Political Report

First she'd have to beat this other credible Dem seeking the nomination: Rear Admiral Eileen Laubacher | Democrat for Congress And Laubacher has raised about four times as much money as Calvarese.

Trisha wants to ban investment firms buying homes. Is it a solution in search of a problem? Real estate: About 3% of Colorado homes owned by large institutions

Interestingly, I don't see her championing "renewable energy" much on her website. That's a good sign.

More on this issue, coincidentally, below, but I think the PRO Act is reprehensible, and Trisha seems to love it: AFGE | Union Benefits Inspire Former AFGE Member Trisha Calvarese to Run for Congress in Colorado

I realize that any Dem will have to support unions, but Trisha's aggressive support (at least so far...we'll see what she says on the show) of forced unionization would disqualify her from consideration by me, although to be clear I've never voted for a Democrat for federal office and I don't vote in CD4.
