Only a modest fraction of listeners take the time to read this page even though I work hard on it every day. So I'm gonna let you in on something I'll do during the show, and I'm going to try to do it without laughing, as if it's a real news story. I like the idea of making up results of non-existent Olympic events and I'm gonna try to do this repeatedly during the Winter Games. I'll start with this:
In one of the biggest upsets in the early days of the Olympics, 5-time Russian polar bear wrestling champion Sergei Ivanov lost the gold medal to American amateur Blake Cunningham who previously had only wrestled the smaller black bears of his native Colorado.
