TGIF Blogcast: Mayor Johnston; Gov Polis; Drink less; Broncos preview

Go Broncos!

I'm so psyched for Saturday's game. I'll be on the sidelines...probably Bills sideline for the first half and Broncos in second half. Chuck will be on the other sideline, so look for us! This is what we look like...Chuck is the big dude.

As I write this on Friday morning, the Broncos are a 1.5-point favorite. I find that interesting because we haven't demonstrated that we can score points consistently, though the Bills defense also isn't great. So our weak-ish offense against their weak-ish defense and, more importantly, our great defense against one of the best QBs in the league in Josh Allen and the league's leading rusher in James Cook. We need Bo Nix to rise to the moment and to not throw interceptions...if he can do that, we can win this thing!

Ben Allbright is the co-host of Broncos Country Tonight, weeknights from 6 PM to 11 PM on KOA. We'll preview the Denver Broncos first home playoff game in a decade, against the Buffalo Bills at 2:30 PM on Saturday. Interestingly, the Broncos are a 1.5-point favorite. I'm actually a little surprised. I think part of this is that Bills QB Josh Allen, last year's NFL MVP is fairly banged-up and may not be at 100%. They have quite a few other injuries as well.

Jared Polis is the governor of Colorado. Yesterday he gave his final State of the State address. It's a long speech. Doesn't break much new ground. More of a veni, vidi, vici vibe. A few goals, a few achievements, and a couple of things that I think are disasters that he's proud of, like trying to get this state to have "100% renewable" power. Ugh. I have it cued up to just after he thanks and acknowledges a bunch of people in the room...
