Just One Thing: After the shutdown
Air travel may remain impacted for a week or more
Today, the House of Representatives is likely (but these days nothing is guaranteed) to pass the Senate-approved measures to re-open the government. Much of government will ramp back up very quickly but impacts to air travel will take longer to fully dissipate.

Take a look at the 5-year chart of AMC (the theater company) stock. This company is so screwed. On a split-adjusted basis, the stock -- trading for about $2.50 a share right now -- traded for over $600 a share in 2021 at the height of "meme stock" idiocy. The CEO of AMC has utterly fleeced shareholders repeatedly and yet they keep coming back for more abuse. Some people just deserve the financial spanking they're getting.

AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (AMC) Stock Price, News, Quote & History - Yahoo Finance
I note that the former meme stock GameStop is actually hanging in there and has pivoted to a business model that seems to be working, albeit modestly. This stock is only down about 75% from it's 2021 frenzy peak (which was brief), unlike AMC which is down something like 99.6% from its high.

Good, but will it make a difference? BBC director general Tim Davie and News CEO Deborah Turness resign over Trump documentary edit
This has a higher chance of success in the UK than in the US: Donald Trump threatens BBC with legal action – POLITICO
In other words, for Trump to have a significant chance of winning, he'd need to be allowed to sue in the UK rather than in the US. Whether he would is unclear. The reason I think he'd have a better chance in the UK is that in the US it's much harder to win a defamation or libel suit against a public figure. In the UK, public figures do not have a higher bar to win this sort of suit than private citizens do.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the BBC retract the documentary and apologize better than they have, in order to avoid the lawsuit.
