Just One Thing: Trump Strikes Iranian Nuclear Sites

Operation Midnight Hammer: US deployed bombers over the Pacific as 'decoy' during Iran operation

Rather than type a lot here, I'll share with you some of my tweets/posts from the past 36 hours or so.

Start with my substack: (57) Trump bombs Iran nuclear facilities - by Ross Kaminsky (please subscribe...it's free!)

Iran claims, and there's some evidence it might be true, to have moved enriched uranium out of Fordow before the US strike: Did Iran Just Sneak Out Critical Nuclear Material from Fordow?

I do note that if you've been listening to my show you'll probably not be surprised by Trump's striking quickly despite his recent statement that he'd make a decision "within two weeks." As I noted last week, "within two weeks" includes "in the next 5 minutes." (And he might have made the decision even before he said it.)

First, President Trump's announcement on Saturday night and then some of my thoughts:

After the US attacked, Israel attacked again (and Iran lobbed more missiles at civilian targets in Israel)

Here's Netanyahu

This morning (US time, midday in Israel), the Israeli Air Force attacked multiple targets in Iran including key buildings belonging to the IRGC including it's brutal paramilitary Basij wing which, among other things, enforces Islamic law on the population. They also appear to have attacked the gate of the notorious Evin prison where political prisoners are held, perhaps hoping to liberate them.

IDF says it hit Tehran targets responsible for ‘homeland defense, suppressing threats, regime stability’ (Times of Israel)

Other Stuff

When Joe Biden left the border open, an impeachable act, almost all the talk was about criminals and drugs entering the country and the abuse of the rule of law generally and some about illegals "taking American jobs." Only a little, and not nearly enough, was about the national security risk of the open border which was my primary focus the whole time of Biden's willful and nearly treasonous abandonment of his oath of office. We don't know how many Iranians entered the country without being caught during the Biden years but of the ones who were caught, the federal gov't reports 729 being arrested and then released into the interior states of the United States. It's not far-fetched to believe that some of these people have been Iranian agents the whole time, creating sleeper cells for future attacks on the US. It's also not far-fetched to wonder if any of them weren't Iranian agents but were nevertheless loyal to the regime's religious edicts and might be moved to attack the US if the ayatollah exhorts them to through a fatwa. If it were possible to impeach someone after serving in office (which the Dems tried to do to Trump), Biden should still be impeached for this particular intentional failure.

This is a complicated story but I think the justices have it right. Congratulations to the Oklahoma City Thunder on their first NBA championship

This was the first Game 7 in 9 years. The home team is 16-4 in Game 7s.

From the NY Times: "Oklahoma City won 68 regular-season games (tied for the fifth most in NBA history), set a league record for average margin of victory (12.9 points per game) and had the league MVP on its side before reaching its crowning achievement." They also had the league's best defense in the regular season and playoffs. In other words, this team deserved to win.
