Weds Blogcast: Pete Rose unbanned; Leland Vittert; Wow, that's a big loss

Today's Guests

Jack Corrigan is, with his broadcast partner Jerry Schemmel, the voice of the Colorado Rockies here on KOA Radio. We'll talk about the decision by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred to end the forever bans on Pete Rose, "Shoeless" Joe Jackson and 15 others (including 8 members of the 1919 Chicago Black Sox.) I don't know how many of the people unbanned are still alive, but they would be eligible for the Hall of Fame only after they die.

On the one hand, you don’t want people to go to prison for a long time for what some would see as a minor infraction that in the offender’s own odd way was well intentioned. On the other hand, sometimes you have to make a lesson of someone so that other people don’t do the same thing. The best idea is to not do something that will make you the lesson.
