Just One Thing: USPS "first phase" changes starting today

I have to say that a lot of this stuff is in the weeds and I'm not entirely sure what the changes are and how they save money. But I figured you should know about them. Trying to find a good guest on the topic. Bottom line: USPS has MASSIVE labor and pension costs that they must get under control. Dealing with the latter will be tremendously difficult, politically.

One More Thing: About those "illegal" Social Security numbers

Multiple people have emailed me links to stories or videos where people refer to a claim by Elon Musk about non-citizens getting Social Security numbers. Actually that claim is probably true. The issue comes when people (intentionally?) misinterpret "non-citizens" to mean "illegal aliens" which appears not to be the case. Instead, it appears that legal immigrants got SSNs in order to be able to work in the US and that it's a program that actually began during the first Trump administration. I don't have an opinion as to whether the program was a good idea at the time; I simply haven't read enough about it.

Musk says that DOGE found the data while looking for fraud, leading some to believe that the data represents fraudulent activity. But it doesn't. Instead it represents one of the greatest failures of a president in our history, or at least our modern history.

I want to be extremely clear about something: I despise what Joe Biden did to our border and the fact that he let so many millions of illegals into this country intentionally. He should have been impeached for it.

With today's issue, though, my point is that Americans should be dealing with the truth rather than with a lie that they like because it makes them more angry.

Cory Booker filibusters

As Leland Vittert said on NewsNation last night, here's Sen Booker trying to make himself relevant again. (I don't know what'll be at this video link by the time you get to it. Booker has said he'll speak for as long as he's physically able. He began at 5 PM MT on Monday.)

Today's Guests

Dan Snowberger is the Elizabeth School District superintendent. Jeff Maher is the district's Public Information Officer.

We'll discuss the lawsuit filed by the ACLU aimed at forcing the district to return to school library shelves books that they removed due primarily to graphic sexual and/or violent content.

You may think these stories are just about oversensitive conservatives wanting to "ban books" but when you hear some of the stuff that's in these books you'll probably turn your disdain toward the ACLU.

A lot of info here...note that most other places are only giving the ACLU's side of the story so you'll want to read the school district's viewpoint: ESD Resource Page Regarding ACLU Complaint

Dave Logan is the radio voice of the Denver Broncos (along with his broadcasting partner Rick Lewis). He also co-hosts KOA Sports weekdays 3 PM to 6 PM and coaches football at Cherry Creek High School. Dave is one of VERY few people to have been drafted into the NFL, NBA, and MLB. We'll talk about this stuff:

Are college athletes (at least those at the highest level of college sports) even "amateurs" anymore? Does the professionalization of college sports change the sports themselves or how you think about them?

Trump doesn't care about symbolism. I support the opponents of Trump's brain-dead trade war with Canada. But as long as Trump knows that the resolution won't pass the House, he won't much care what the Senate does.
