One more thing: Some of the best news I've read in a long time

"Scientist" Michael Mann has long been a liar and grifter. The inventor of the nonsense "hockey stick" that was an early part of the "global warming" grift, Mann has now been recognized by a judge for what he is. Let's hope his career is over. He's been a source of lies and evil for decades.

Eugene Volokh is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford and a Distinguished Professor of Law Emeritus at the UCLA School of Law. He’s the proprietor of a well-known (by legal scholars and nerds like me) blog called the Volokh Conspiracy which is now part of the great reason magazine. We'll discuss the case of the anti-Semitic pro-terrorist Columbia graduate student whom the Trump administration is trying to deport. (He is a legal permanent resident, not simply here on a student visa.)

Ukraine war latest: Russia presents ceasefire demands to US

Even just a few days of the US cutting off intelligence sharing with Ukraine has helped Putin significantly (and caused the deaths of Ukrainians). That was a truly evil move by Trump, and not justified by his desire to force Ukraine to agree to a ceasefire (which I believe they would have agreed to anyway.) Thank you, Cardinal Dolan: Cardinal Dolan: The Evils of Antisemitism

Part of what he's reacting to is the surge in anti-Semitism in prominent podcasts and on social media. By the way, I don't recommend you do this but if you were to look at the anti-Semitism on Twitter/X it might shock you. It's extremely aggressive, hateful, ignorant, and utterly unafraid of pushbad. And these a-holes are making a living feeding evil to thousands or hundreds of thousands of ignoramuses. One of the most prominent is the increasingly Nazi-like (despite being black) Candace Owens, a veritable fountain of anti-Semitism. I hope karma treats her harshly, along with all of these people who are making a living by spreading the oldest hatred.

I'm slightly tempted to get one if there's one at a fire-sale price from an angry liberal, but I don't want to be perceived as engaging in politics-by-automotive-choice. I don't mean I don't want to be seen as pro-Trump (or as pro-climate change alarmist nonsense) but rather that I just don't want to get caught up in any of that nonsense. But I might look to see if there's a cheap Tesla available.

Quite a cold case...literally cold, and as a scuba diver there's additional interest on my part. I've only done a little bit of diving in cold murky water (like a flooded quarry). It's actually kinda scary when the visibility is very limited.
