Just One Thing: Another interesting Trump-Musk presser
In a show of support for Elon Musk, President Donald Trump bought a Telsa. Musk presented the car to Trump and then the two took questions for the better part of an hour. A very wide-ranging conversation.
I've been rough on Trump the last few days over tariffs. This presser showed a lot of stuff that was the reason Trump was elected, stuff that most Americans (including yours truly) support, stuff he should stay focused on (and stop with the trade wars.) And Musk, when he can refrain from getting caught up in Twitter/X name-calling, sounds reasonable and focused on the right things. The whole thing is worth watching but I have the video below cued up to a useful comment by Musk.

Today's Guests
Josh Rosales returns to the show just 9 days after his first appearance to answer questions from other halfway-house residents (after being released from jail/prison.) Josh was sentenced to life in prison for participating in a crime (a drug deal) in which someone was shot and killed. (Josh did not have a firearm and did not shoot the victim, and it was not alleged that he did. But under felony murder laws you can be charged as if you pulled the trigger.) The Denver DA re-examined the case and believed that over 19 years in prison was enough and represented roughly what the sentence would be today for a similar crime. Josh is now out and doing good work with a non-profit to help released criminals reintegrated into society and become productive members of society.

This sounds like a big deal, BUT what I really want to see is how Russia reacts. Russia could try to wrong-foot the world by agreeing while doing everything they can in the background to take military advantage of any pause. NOBODY should trust anything Putin says or that Putin will abide by anything he signs. Russia is famous for violating agreements.
