Just One Thing: Saturday Night Live breaks the rules to help Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris’ appearance on Saturday Night Live just a few days before the election wasn’t as bad as I might have expected. Well, that’s not quite right…let me clarify.

The actual content of her short skit would probably appeal to the liberal millennials who still watch that unfunny show. But she should NOT have been there. Last month, Lorne Michaels, the guy who runs SNL said that neither Trump nor Harris would appear on the show because of equal time rules. In other words, if they had one, they’d have to allow the other if the other asked. But they had her on the last episode before the election which FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr calls a “clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule.” I wish I were surprised at NBC’s cheating to help a Democrat.

NOTE: FCC Commissioner Carr joins the show today to discuss this

Today's Guests

Andy McCarthy is a former federal prosecutor and currently a contributing editor at National Review and a Fox News contributor. We'll discuss his interesting recent series of articles (subscription may be required to read them, though) about what might happen to the various lawsuits facing Trump right now depending on the outcome of the election.

Brendan Carr is a Republican FCC commissioner. We'll discuss the issue noted above regarding Saturday Night Live allowing/inviting Kamala Harris on to the show with no opportunity for "Equal Time" for Donald Trump, at least not on the same show.

Henry Olsen's election prediction: This race is close but I'm predicting Donald Trump wins the Electoral College -- and possibly the popular vote

I love this, at the end of his note:

If your party loses, ask yourself the next morning whether the person who voted for the winner is a fellow citizen or an implacable enemy. If you think the latter, you have decided victory rather than democracy is your lodestar. And if that’s the case with most Americans, our system cannot long endure.
Losing that, more than losing any election, is a tragedy we should strive to prevent.

Denver might take longer than usual to report its election results. I suspect that much of the issue is the massive number of ballot measures for Denver voters, between the statewide issues and the Denver issues, has people taking their time voting. But wow: Opinion | Americans, your calls and texts can be monitored by Chinese spies - The Washington Post

Key sentence:

The Chinese hackers, who the United States believes are linked to Beijing’s Ministry of State Security, have burrowed inside the private wiretapping and surveillance system that American telecom companies built for the exclusive use of U.S. federal law enforcement agencies — and the U.S. government believes they likely continue to have access to the system.

Just another reason that I can't support Donald Trump (and of course not Kamala Harris either). WHY does he say this stuff when his absolutely goal right now MUST be to win over the small number of still-undecided voters? He's beyond undisciplined.
