Just One Thing: This looks really bad for Jena Griswold

(though actual security is likely not impacted)

.Jena Griswold presides over one failure after another as Secretary of State. Let's hope that this is the latest nail in the coffin for her political aspirations.

Let’s put it plainly: Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold is a partisan hack who has been in charge while her office has had one failure after another including, famously, TWICE sending voter registration materials to non-citizens. However, yesterday’s news was so damning that even 9News’s Kyle Clark, a guy with a reputation for preferring Democrats, asked Griswold if she would resign. The news? Her office publicly posted a spreadsheet that contained in hidden tabs, that were easily unhidden by a viewer, password information for the state’s voting machines. To be clear, you’d need physical access to the machines to use the passwords and getting to them would be like a scene from Mission Impossible and there’s no evidence that anyone got the passwords, much less attempted to use them. Still, this is dramatic news and another failure under Griswold.

This is REALLY BAD. The last thing this election needs is more reason for people to wonder about its security and integrity.

I caught some of Kamala Harris's speech from near the White House last night. It was MUCH better than anything she's done lately and maybe the best speech she's given. It had the right balance of positivity and going after Trump but without all the badgering the audience with cries of "he's a fascist." If she'd been doing this all along she'd probably be ahead in swing states right now (but just by a little.) None of that analysis is to suggest that her speech would have me considering voting for her. I would never consider it. That said, if I really thought she were that person I'd be very slightly less afraid of her than I am but bottom line is that her views on tax policy and energy policy make her unacceptable. And I simply don't trust anything coming out of her mouth. I'm afraid of a Trump presidency in very different ways though my underlying reason for not voting for him is Jan 6, which was disqualifying and irredeemable.
