Just One Thing: No 2nd Debate (for now at least)
Politics is so much fun because people surprise you all the time. For example, after Tuesday night’s debate, which I thought Kamala Harris won convincingly though I also think the election remains essentially a toss-up, I predicted that Harris wouldn’t want another debate and probably Trump wouldn’t either but might feel like he needed one. But the Harris team immediately called for a second Harris-Trump debate and on Thursday, Trump said definitively that he would not debate her again because, according to him, only the losing prizefighter wants a rematch and he thinks he won. Of course Team Harris will say he’s afraid though I don’t think that line of attack will move any votes. And I don’t think Trump is actually afraid but given what happened Tuesday maybe he should be.

CU vs CSU
A couple of thoughts: It's amazing how Coach Deion "Prime" Sanders has so far been able to keep up the media excitement around the University of Colorado football team even though they've seem to have proven that they're just not good despite having a few extremely talented players (including Prime's sons.) Last I checked, Colorado is a 7.5 point favorite in this weekend's Rocky Mountain Showdown, which is being held in Fort Collins for the first time in 28 years. Colorado has been dominant in the series, winning about 3/4 of the 90+ games between the two, but last year it took CU double overtime to win 43-35.

Al Pitrelli is a true rock star. He's played with many of the biggest names in rock 'n roll and has for nearly 30 years now been the musical director of the insanely successful Trans-Siberian Orchestra which will play 4 shows in Colorado (2 in Denver and 2 in CO Springs) on November 16 and 17. It's a new show called "The Lost Christmas Eve." Al's a fascinating guy whom I've had the pleasure to spend a little time talking with in person after a show. A true student of music as well, and the father of a gaggle of kids including two sons who serve in the Navy and Coast Guard. TSO's last tour generated over a million dollars for local charities around the country due to the band's policy of giving at least $1 per ticket sold to charity.

I think the thing that I'm most angry about regarding the wolf "reintroduction" is that the use of government to force these gorgeous creatures on an unwilling citizenry has me almost cheering when one of them dies.
