Weds Blogcast: Leland Vittert; Eggflation; Kamala's fakery

Just One Thing: It's (NOT) the Real Thing

Covering this again from yesterday because I'm still so flummoxed by it

The problem with Kamala's new accent (just for Detroit, perhaps) isn't that it sounds ridiculous, even though it does; it's that Americans VERY much value authenticity. Indeed they value it over most other traits. There's a reason that one of the most successful marketing slogans ever was Coca Cola's "It's the real thing." Americans recognize and detest fakery. It's shocking that after both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton being caught up in the same truly ridiculous fake-accent shenanigans that anyone could think it was a good campaign tactic.

An alternative theory: In crime-ridden Detroit, maybe someone stole all her Rs.

Kelly Caufield is Executive Director of the Common Sense Institute. We'll discuss how Coloradans are being buried by taxes that are called fees to avoid allowing voters to exercise their rights under TABOR to approve (or disapprove) new taxes.

Leland Vittert hosts "On Balance" on News Nation at 5 PM MT/7 PM ET weeknights. It's my favorite cable news show (though Bret Baier's show on Fox) is right up there with him..and no other show is particularly close.)

Bill Scebbi is Executive Director of the Colorado Egg Producers and former Chairman of the Colorado Ag Council. We'll discuss the recent price fluctuations (mostly increases) of eggs and what's likely to happen in several months as the new law requiring cage-free eggs in Colorado takes force. (I thought it was in force already...you could easily see eggs cost $2 more per dozen of the least expensive eggs.) Yes, it's eggflation!

p.s. I chose the egg picture for the blog today because of this subject but I have absolutely no idea why there's a cat in the picture and I think it's hilarious.

This is very interesting. Netanyahu is right that Israel should stay in the Philadelphi Corridor. Hamas of course does not want that. If getting out of some of it for some time gets a deal done, Bibi should agree. But Hamas won't agree unless Bibi agrees to get out of the entire Corridor. If he agrees to that, he needs to go back there as soon as he has the hostages back in Israel. BUT, Hamas knows that as well and that's why they won't release all the hostages. See why this is darned close to impossible?

NBC apologizes for their lie, but in the apology they basically lie again by saying that their partisan host "implied" something that she actually stated directly.
