Don Bentley is a former US Army Apache helicopter pilot and FBI agent and now best-selling thriller author who is now taking over Vince Flynn's series with protagonist Mitch Rapp. (Vince Flynn passed away about a decade ago at the much-too-young age of 47, from a rare form of prostate cancer. Kyle Mills wrote the Mitch Rapp novels -- 9 of them -- from 2015 until last year.)
