TGIF Blogcast: Biden survives NATO; Denver Basic Income; Chuck Todd ugh

Joey Hang On! (A Dan Caplis original)

In case you weren't sure how my colleague KHOW host Dan Caplis wanted this election to go, here's his dream set to music

Just One Thing: Biden hangs on through presser, with one big gaffe

Other than a gaffe early in yesterday’s NATO press conference in which Joe Biden called Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump”, he did a fairly solid job, especially if you’re grading on a Biden curve. I mean, he still seemed old and a bit halting but basically he covered a decent range of issues without a major glitch. I don’t know what the numbers will look like when you hear this, but just before the press conference, he was 20 percentage points behind Kamala in betting odds over who would be the Democratic nominee. Immediately after, he was 2 points ahead, and 45 minutes after that, as people started to realize that he’s still a VERY weak candidate, he was 10 points behind Kamala. As of Friday morning at 6 AM, Harris was up 2 on Biden and by 8:30 AM, Biden was up 5 on Harris. In short, per the betting markets, the press conference helped Biden but didn’t absolutely save him. This is more important than sports but it’s still a heck of a spectator sport.

Per Axios, the pressure to dump Biden may just be getting started: 1 big thing: Committee to Unelect the President

(The "Vice President Trump" thing happens around 8:48 into the clip below.)

Chuck Todd's admission in his podcast that everybody, including a cabinet secretary, knew years ago that Biden was unfit for office is infuriating. This is a terrible idea and I hate it when Republicans support this kind of idiocy which can ONLY lead to higher prices for American consumers.

Today's Videos

Yesterday, Comedian John Heffron was in studio with me yesterday. We talked (off the air) about the remodeling Kristen and I are doing of a house we bought and how Kristen wants a nice fireplace in the middle of the living room. She's been thinking of a round one. They've very nice but they're incredibly expensive. I found a nice looking square one that's less than half the price of the round one by the same company. So John, who does "Cameos" where he will make a custom message for you for a very small fee, sent this along to help our decision-making process.

If you want a cameo, here's the link: John Heffron | Cameo

THIS is the person who Dems want to replace Biden with? What the hell is she saying? And why is she using so many words to say it?

This is absolutely fantastic
