SCOTUS Note: Likely a LOT of cases released this week, starting today
There will likely be some important opinions released by the Supreme Court this morning. Because my show is a remote from Smashburger on 16th Street Mall where they're reopening "Block 2" of the Mall today, I may not have time to update my Blog with those cases but I will try to talk about them on the show.
You can find the Court's opinions here: Opinions of the Court - 2023 (supremecourt.gov)
I expect opinions Weds, Thurs, and Fri this week, esp if the Court wants to be done with this term before the July 4th holiday week. Opinions are released starting at 8 AM Mountain Time. They are not released all at once...usually at least a few minutes, sometimes longer if a Justice is reading from the bench, between releases.
Just One Thing: A good primary night for Colorado
You know who had a good night in the Colorado primaries yesterday? Colorado.
In almost every election, rational Republicans won their primaries and the hard-core MAGA types endorsed by the lying grifter Dave Williams, who may soon be forced to step down as chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, lost.
Williams himself suffered the biggest defeat of the night in Congressional primaries, losing by more than a 2-to-1 margin to Jeff Crank in the 5th CD. Jeff Hurd beat Williams crony Ron Hanks in CD3 by a wide margin. Gabe Evans destroyed his competitor in CD8. The only MAGA candidate who won was Lauren Boebert in a 6-way race in which she had the most name ID and most money.
And Democrat anti-Semites Elisabeth Epps and Tim Hernandez lost their primaries.
All in all, a good night for Colorado.

One More Thing: Jamaal Bowman out
Jamaal Bowman, the racist anti-Semite who somehow weaseled his way into representing a heavily Jewish district, lost his primary last night. Next up (in August), Cori Bush will lose and Ilhan Omar might lose. One wonders whether this means voters on BOTH SIDES of the aisle are moving away from the crazies. Too soon to say. Back in Colorado, Axios notes this about last night's primaries: "Only two of the nine progressives — state Rep. Mike Weissman running in an Aurora state Senate race and Yara Zokaie competing for a state House seat south of Fort Collins — were set to win their races."
In case you're curious about why Bowman is so bad, here's what you need to know/remember:
