Weds Blogcast: Steve Moore; Which Trump?; EVs vs Polar Vortex

Just One Thing: Which Trump will we get?

Donald Trump has run an excellent campaign in the last couple of months and it showed in the results in Iowa. He trounced the field including, surprisingly to many, winning more college-educated Republicans than either of the other two main competitors did. He won 98 of 99 counties in Iowa and the only one he lost, he lost by one single vote in the most liberal county in the state. A week earlier when asked about his prior aggressive statement to supporters that “I am your retribution” he said “I’ll be too busy for retribution.” He’s staked out a relatively moderate, or at least “leave it to the states” position on abortion and last nigh he actually called for Republicans and Democrats to come together to solve problems. The guy he’s acting like now has a decent chance of beating Biden.

Today's Guest

Steve Moore, Chief Economist of the Ross Kaminsky show, has been a friend of mine for 30 years He's a great economist, a Distinguished Fellow in Economics at the Heritage Foundation, and a Trump advisor. I heard him interviewed on BBC (believe it or not) yesterday and thought it was such a great conversation leading into what seems like a likely Trump nomination that I asked him to join us today.

He's also a founder of the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. They put out a great daily email (free) and I encourage you to sign up: The Committee To Unleash Prosperity - Committee To Unleash Prosperity

Today's Videos

If you've been living under a social media rock, you haven't heard about this. Brittany Pietsch recorded herself having a video meeting with HR and some other dude whom she had never met at her employer, Cloudflare, as they told her she was being fired but refused over and over to tell her why.

I got laid off — my know-nothing bosses blamed my performance, but I fought back and won (msn.com)

This video has been seen over 2 million times so far on various platforms.

I bet she's already getting lots of job offers.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Cloudflare almost apologized.

This day in history: On 1/17/1961, President Dwight D Eisenhower gave his farewell address which has come to be known for its famous warning about the "military-industrial complex."
