Derek Lyons of RITE on How To Restore Faith in the American Elections

Derek Lyons is the President and CEO of Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections (RITE). Mr. Lyons has worked for nearly 15 years at the highest levels of law and public policy, providing strategic advice to policymakers in the White House and the Congress. He served for nearly four years as White House Staff Secretary and Counselor to President Donald J. Trump and in the Senate as the Chief Counsel to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.

We'll talk about how to restore American's faith in the American elections, part of which is getting into what fears that many (esp on the right) have about potential fraud have a legitimate basis and which ones are more like paranoia. There's plenty of both. To be clear, just because a concern about some part of an election is legit doesn't mean there was actual fraud. But to the extent that fraud or significant error is possible, those doors should be slammed shut in ways that the public will understand and trust.
