Mon Blogcast: Dems boost Trump again; Robert Bryce on "Juice";

Just One Thing: Will they do it again?

In 2016, Democrats, and their media lackeys, did everything possible to boost Donald Trump’s chances of getting the Republican nomination thinking that he was unelectable against Hillary Clinton. To be fair, most people thought he was unelectable…right up until he won.

Heading into the 2024 election, Democrats – although NOT the media – have done everything possible to boost Trump even while acting as if they hate him. Well, they’re not acting. Particularly through one ridiculous lawsuit after another – they’re pretty much all ridiculous except for the classified documents case and maybe the Georgia election interference case – they’ve turned wavering GOP primary voters toward Trump and put other Trump candidates in a position of defending him. It’s becoming increasingly likely that Democratic tactics will get Donald Trump elected.

Sure, there's this, but hard to see it stopping him: Trump's courtroom and campaign calendar collision is here (axios.com)

Robert Bryce is one of the nation's (and world's) leading experts on electrical generation and on the US electric grid. His fantastic (and free) Substack is at Robert Bryce | Substack and his website is http://robertbryce.com

He's releasing a 5-part mini-series called Juice, descrbed thusly: From Texas to Tokyo, this five-part docuseries shows how politicians and corporate avarice weakened our most critical network — and why we need fission to fix it.

Speaking of presidential politics, here's a good line from WSJ: “All of this underscores the backward-looking nature of a Biden-Trump rematch. Mr. Trump needs to claim the 2020 election was stolen to justify his behavior after Election Day and on Jan. 6. Mr. Biden needs to warn of dictatorship because the public dislikes the results of his policies. Both men are offering voters little or nothing about the future beyond more of the same rancor and polarization.”

Colorado GOP primary voters are going to have some very bad choices:

I sure didn't like it when the Colorado GOP sent out a political message on Christmas that concluded with telling people to "give your live to Jesus Christ" and basically said that only Christians can go to heaven. And now in his campaign announcement, he promises "authentic Christian leadership." No thanks. I mean, be as Christian as you want but that's not what I need your focus on while doing a political job.

(Just to be clear: I've never ingested, in any form, any illegal drug. But whether something is currently legal or not, if there's a good chance it could be medically beneficial, that should be researched and then a drug's status altered as necessary, assuming we're going to stay in this stupid regime of government making lists of what adults can ingest and what we can't.)
