Just One Thing: Trump needs to do more addition

I don't spend much time talking about Donald Trump's utterances which seem mostly designed to troll the media and Democrats. The other day he again said of the Biden tsunami of illegal immigrants that they are "poisoning the blood" of our country. Trump should stop talking like that. First, it's simply not true. Second, it really is Hitlerian language; you don't have to be a liberal snowflake to see the many similar lines in Mein Kampf. Third, and most importantly, it's politically stupid. Everyone who likes that kind of language is already going to vote for Trump. But to win an election he will have to win in the suburbs among moderates and unaffiliated/independent voters and that kind of stuff is the stuff they hate most about Trump. Politics is about addition (and, when possible, multiplication). At least winning politics is. With that sort of language, Trump is engaging in subtraction, if not division. There's no political upside that I can see for him in that language and plenty of downside. I suspect that the thing he cares about most, though, is driving liberals crazy. And, sure, that's fun but not more important than beating Joe Biden. (Note: I say all this as someone who will not vote for either Trump or Biden in 2024...this is just my honest political analysis.)
