Just One Thing: Enviros are panicking

The radical enviros at the Washington Post and NY Times are panicking now that so many people are figuring out what a disaster things like net zero and wind subsidies and attacks on fossil fuels are for real people. Over the weekend, the Post ran a piece bemoaning that many companies are not living up to their prior promises to, for example, not issue insurance to fossil fuel projects. Wonder how many jobs it would kill if they did. And the times ran a laugh-out-loud funny piece about a couple of rich millennials who bought a $2.6 million weekender beach house and rebuilt it with green stuff like hemp insulation…at the low low price of $1200 per square foot. I wonder if these tools, including Joe Biden, know how wildly out of touch they are with real Americans.

Today's Guests

Dee Snider, the lead singer of Twisted Sister, is a rock icon. His new book, "Dee Snider: HE'S NOT GONNA TAKE IT", is a graphic novel of Dee's life with particular focus on how free speech became so important to him including his US Senate testimony during those dark days when Tipper Gore wanted to censor American music.

For more than 25 years, Dee has hosted his own heavy-metal radio show that airs on a couple hundred stations: House of Hair with Dee Snider - If it ain't Metal, it's Crap! (houseofhaironline.com)

The first video below is Dee Snider's testimony at the US Senate...I have it queued up to some questioning by the execrable Al Gore:

And now for one of the great rock songs of all time

And in case that isn't enough rockin' for ya

Yes, they had to drop it, but it's not as if "people over politics" is a big winner either since so many Americans think that the Biden administration's focus is just the opposite of that: 1 big thing: House Dems ditch "Bidenomics" messaging (Axios.com)

You may need a subscription for this, but here's the short version: Trump is more likely than anyone might have expected a year ago to win the election and Trump is likely to be as dictatorial as he can get away with. Actually, those things may well be true but we sure didn't need 2500 words (or whatever that piece is) to get the point: Opinion | Would Trump be a dictator? And can he be stopped? - The Washington Post

Liz Cheney is making the same argument: Liz Cheney: The U.S. Is 'Sleepwalking Into Dictatorship' (yahoo.com)

I have no idea if this is true but it wouldn't surprise me, given the history within another major church: Mormon church helps keep child sex abuse cases hidden from scrutiny | AP News

I bet you could negotiate it down to the high 7s: Cherry Hills glass house hits market for first time in 20 years at $8.5M (Photos) - Denver Business Journal (bizjournals.com)

Today's Videos

A listener sent me this. It's probably the only thing you need to see all day.

it's a whole different version of dogs and cats living together

There is no such thing as an effective government (because it's impossible for bureaucrats and politicians to actually know what individual people want.)
