Broncos win in a Scorigami!

Just One Thing: It's not only men (who support and engage in terrorism)

This is going to be a rather heavy way to start the week but we need to talk about something. I think a lot of folks believe, more subconsciously than due to actually thinking about it, that all Islamic terrorists and their strong supporters, including among the Palestinians, are adult men. But if you look at the crowds celebrating the release of Palestinian prisoners by Israel as part of the hostages-for-prisoners swap, you’ll see plenty of women cheering the returned criminals, some of whom were charged with attempted murder. You’ll also see that the prisoners being released are women and teenagers, again some of whom were charged with attempted murder. Not all Palestinians support the evil of Hamas or terrorism more generally but far more, including women and young people, do than you might expect.

One Related Thing: Desperately confused American children

Note in second video: School kids walking through Brooklyn yelling "Allahu Akbar" and "f**k Israel"

NYC Mayor Adams gets the moral question right but I think he's overly optimistic when he says "We are better than this." Probably not.

That said, these kids are going to be adults and have to somehow become contributing members of society and not anti-western, anti-Semitic, anti-civilization threats to civil societyu.

Remember, though, there are lots of good people

If they're right that the American Dream is less achievable than in the past (and I'm not convinced that it is), the fault lies almost entirely with government and the rest lies with our education system.

One of the particularly interesting things in the WSJ piece is the huge increase in the number of people who say the American Dream was never true. That must be a matter of both ignorance and brainwashing.

PRRI poll on right track, wrong track. Takeaway: “More than three-fourths of Americans (77%) believe that the country is going in the wrong direction, compared with only 22% who believe the country is going in the right direction. The vast majority of Republicans (90%) and independents (81%) say the country is going in the wrong direction, compared with 59% of Democrats.

There are no significant differences with respect to views on the direction of the country by gender, race, generation, education, region, or whether respondents live in rural, suburban, and urban areas.”

How to use a giant tow truck to save a modular home that slid off the back of a jack-knifed semi: Part of a house slid down a mountain in Colorado. What did it take for a tow company to recover it in one piece? | SummitDaily.com

"In all, Mountain Recovery had eight winches connected to the two 50-ton rotators and a 12,000-pound Bobcat vehicle for support, Stubblefield said. In order to keep the modular home from crumbling “like a pile of toothpicks,” he said the team had to figure out how to spread the rigging out to evenly distribute the weight."
