This is going to be a rather heavy way to start the week but we need to talk about something. I think a lot of folks believe, more subconsciously than due to actually thinking about it, that all Islamic terrorists and their strong supporters, including among the Palestinians, are adult men. But if you look at the crowds celebrating the release of Palestinian prisoners by Israel as part of the hostages-for-prisoners swap, you’ll see plenty of women cheering the returned criminals, some of whom were charged with attempted murder. You’ll also see that the prisoners being released are women and teenagers, again some of whom were charged with attempted murder. Not all Palestinians support the evil of Hamas or terrorism more generally but far more, including women and young people, do than you might expect.

NYC Mayor Adams gets the moral question right but I think he's overly optimistic when he says "We are better than this." Probably not.
That said, these kids are going to be adults and have to somehow become contributing members of society and not anti-western, anti-Semitic, anti-civilization threats to civil societyu.

If they're right that the American Dream is less achievable than in the past (and I'm not convinced that it is), the fault lies almost entirely with government and the rest lies with our education system.
One of the particularly interesting things in the WSJ piece is the huge increase in the number of people who say the American Dream was never true. That must be a matter of both ignorance and brainwashing.
