Just One Thing: Prepare for radical leftist insanity in Colorado

The far left is feeling absolutely in control in this once red, then purple, but now deep-blue state.

One More Thing: What if...?

I’m going to run a thought experiment by you. And you can either answer in your own brain or you can email me your thoughts at ross@iheartmedia.com. It’s something that came up on my show yesterday in the context of a story of a high-end brothel being shut down by the feds and the news that it had a very high-end clientele. I bet a lot of those folks are very nervous right now. But why should they be? Here’s my question: If the voluntary exchange of money for sex, sometimes known as prostitution, had been legal your whole life, would you vote to make it illegal now? And if the answer to that is no, doesn’t that imply that it should be legal now? I think this approach is very useful in lots of contexts.

Sam Tabachnik is an investigative reporter at the Denver Post. His article about the malfeasance at the VA of Eastern Colorado (including its massive presence in Aurora) is shocking. Truly, heads need to roll...maybe literally.

Other Stuff

US President Joe Biden met with Chinese president-for-life (aka dictator) Xi Jinping yesterday in California. A lot of conservative media were badgering Biden for having the meeting and saying that would just be Xi "sizing up" Biden to figure out how badly he (Xi) could abuse the US. I don't see it that way. I mean, I'm sure Xi already sees Biden as weak; it was unlikely that meeting with Biden would make him seem even weaker. And there was upside, at least in theory. For example, Xi said he'd work to reduce the flow of fentanyl (or its precursors) from China to Mexico. Will he actually do it? 50/50 at best, probably, but there's no downside in trying to get him to do it. (Of course, fentanyl is fairly easy for a chemist to make and isn't dependent on access to opium poppies or any other plant.) Anything that improves communication between the countries is good as long as we're not naive enough to believe they're always (or even often) telling the truth. It's just as important for them to hear "our truth".
