85th Commemoration of Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht, arguably the first large event leading into the Holocaust, began 85 years ago today.
I have no doubt that there are at least hundreds, maybe thousands, of students in American colleges who would do this again.

Just One Thing: Will he or won't he?
I haven’t been proud of Colorado voters for many years. And even though the financial masochists in Boulder and Denver and Aspen voted in favor of the cynical and mendacious Prop HH, which was highway robbery disguised as charity, the rest of the state knew better and Governor Polis’s signature issue for 2023 went down in flames, losing by more than 20 points. I do think talk radio was a big factor. Every host I know other than on government-affiliated radio pounded HH. Shaun Boyd of CBS4 explained how misleading it was. And even the liberal-leaning Kyle Clark called out HH for its deceit and castigated Governor Polis for treating voters as if we’re stupid. But the bottom line is that voters did this. No, this state is NOT safe from the left, but beating HH was a huge win.
The question now is whether Gov Polis will call a special session of the legislature to deal with property tax relief so it can be effective for the next tax bills. Yesterday, House Minority Leader Mike Lynch says he thinks it’s 60/40 in favor, in terms of the odds that Polis does so. I think it’s less than 50/50 because I think he will be bitter about the Prop HH loss and be willing to let people suffer for defying him. That’s not an easy thing for me to say but I suspect he was very emotionally invested in the reprehensible Prop HH.
