Just One Thing: Evil is in our midst
Yesterday during my radio show I described the Hamas terrorists who massacred around 270 innocent civilians at a dance party “barbarians”. A listener texted in to ask “Who do you think you are to be judge and jury and call them barbarians?”. The listener also ended the text with "F**k you, Ross." I don’t care about the last part. But the first part is really disturbing. Someone in the US, someone probably in or near Denver, strongly believes that I should not have described the islamofascist terrorist murderers killing women and kids who were dancing in a field, enjoying a holiday weekend, and hundreds of other innocents in Israel, with any negative descriptor. Evil is in our midst, maybe not in the concentrations that it exists in Gaza, but, such as in the person of State Rep Tim Hernandez, it is undoubtedly here. Michael Morell is a former deputy director & acting director of the CIA and author of The Great War of Our Time: The CIA's Fight Against Terrorism-From al Qa'ida to ISIS.
We'll discuss the apparent failures of Israeli (and perhaps US) intelligence to predict and prepare for the brutal Hamas attack against Israel this past Saturday.
p.s. I know that a lot of folks remain upset with Mr. Morell for his role in the "it's probably Russian misinformation" open letter regarding the absolutely real Hunter Biden laptop during the 2020 presidential race. I will not be delving into that topic with him today. I do believe that in retrospect he regrets his involvement but the damage is done so I also understand why for so many that is cold comfort. Still, for today we have more pressing issues at hand.
