As far as a way to announce a run for president, this is "peak 2023" (and probably a good idea to get an implicit endorsement from Elon Musk): Ron DeSantis will launch his presidential bid with Elon Musk on Twitter (nbcnews.com)

It's also a huge shot at Fox News. (Looks like DeSantis will be on with Trey Gowdy on Fox in the 6 PM MT hour, after the Twitter announcement.)

Even if I were a liberal, I'm not sure I understand just what the argument is that Ron DeSantis' Florida is somehow hostile to racial/ethnic minorities.
