Johnnie White is CEO of ASA (the American Society of Appraisers), a non-profit, global association of appraisers. We'll talk about how consumers can avoid leaving money on the table when insuring/selling personal property.

Jay Ratliff is, among other things, iHeart aviation analyst. We're going to cover a couple of very different topics: First, the increasing number of laser attacks on commercial aircraft in the US. (Meaning lasers shined from the ground into pilots' eyes.) And second, his thoughts about mask-free travel. You can learn more about his stock market trading activities here: Day Trading, Learn to Day Trade (daytradefun.com) (To be clear, that's not an endorsement by me of day-trading. I have no opinion about Jay's system since I haven't looked into it.) Jay's Aviation Blog is here: https://700wlw.iheart.com/featured/aviation-blog-jay-ratliff/

Other Stuff

Some serious hypocrisy here:

In how this guy added a bunch of greenhouse gases and particulates to the atmosphere, his action seems both hypocritical and rude, and I'm sure that somewhere John Kerry is tut-tutting in disapproval: Wynn Alan Bruce: Climate activist dies after setting himself on fire outside Supreme Court on Earth Day | The Independent

Elon Musk has been busy. I just LOVE this story: Elon Musk tweets that he confronted Bill Gates about shorting Tesla (cnbc.com)

and the follow-up: Twitter: Elon Musk says he’s ‘moving on … from making fun of Bill Gates’ | Elon Musk | The Guardian

Meanwhile, Twitter may have to come to Musk if the company is as weak and Musk and many others seem to think it is: Twitter’s Board Is Said to Seriously Consider Elon Musk’s Bid - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

It's Weird to hear people like Jimmy Kimmel complain about one person potentially being in charge of Twitter while they don’t care about the Washington Post or Facebook. Don't you love it when people in the media are afraid of a reduction in censorship and communication gatekeeping?

If this is a win for LePen, I wonder what a loss looks like: 2022 French election: Polling agencies project reelection for Macron | AP News

I understand that the politicians have to look on the bright side, but even though the election was closer than 4 years ago, it still wasn't close. Since 1940, the US has only had 3 presidential elections with a popular vote margin wider than what just happened in France. (France does not have an Electoral College; they only have a popular vote.)

Orrin Hatch, RIP:

Former Senator Orrin Hatch, Republican of Utah, passed away on Saturday. Among other things, he was the longest-serving Republican in Senate history (although 5 Democrats served more terms than he did...there's probably a message there.)
