Mon Blogcast: Quitting over racist state gov't training; BLM collapsing?

Today's interesting guests

Andrew Kerr is an investigative reporter for the Washington Examiner who has been doing some great work on the Black Lives Matter organization and now on its apparent ongoing financial collapse after a few years of extremely successful grifting. Weird how Marxists love to get rich, right? BLM fundraises in Washington despite order to 'immediately cease' | Washington Examiner

Josh Young and his attorney Will Trachtman of Mountain States Legal Foundation are suing the Colorado Department of Corrections over the ridiculous and racist training they force employees to undergo. Mr. Young claims that the training actually made his work as a prison guard more dangerous as well as contributing to a (racially) hostile work environment. You can see a video of the two discussing the case near the end of this note. Meanwhile, here's the complaint itself: Josh Young v. Colorado Department of Corrections, et al. - Mountain States Legal Foundation (mslegal.org) And just so you can see how insane our world is, take a look at this state gov't web page: Tools & Resources | Department of Public Health & Environment (colorado.gov)

Brenda Dickhoner, PhD, is the President and CEO of ReadyCO. She'll join the show to talk about the results of a new poll they commissioned of a top-notch polling organization (Cygnal). There are some VERY interesting takeaways including plummeting support for teachers unions and increased support for charter schools. 18945 ReadyCO Deck.pdf (dropbox.com)

Douglas County School Board goes off the rails -- and the media wants you to blame conservatives

On Friday, the conservative-led Douglas County School Board fired that school district's superintendent, a guy named Corey Wise. I don't know Mr. Wise and have no prior opinion of him. It's clear from all that Mr. Wise is well liked in the district after having worked there in other capacities. I'll put this politely: the conservative majority has to learn a LOT of lessons from a meeting in which they let the messaging get away from them. That said, the more I learn about what's gone on in the past month, including blatant lies or errors by "reporters" who seem to be just channeling talking points from he union-owned board minority, the better I understand why the conservatives decided that Mr. Wise should no longer hold that position. I'll talk about it a lot today.

One example of a media lie/error: Even the Colorado Springs Gazette reported that the DougCo School Board had "approved a resolution to change the district’s equity policy" but in fact they did no such thing. They didn't repeal (which they should) or even modify the policy. All they did was ask the superintendent to take up to 8 months to suggest potential changes to the policy or to its implementation. Why did almost every major media outlet make this error or how did they get away with this lie? Does merging two bad airlines make a better one or the worst airline ever?

You know your airline is bad when it's news that any other airline isn't the worst-rated by flyers, like the CNBC headline from just a couple of days ago, "This is the worst airline in the U.S., according to a new ranking — and it’s not Spirit or Frontier." Spirit and Frontier are famously bad. And now they plan to merge into what would become the 5th largest airline in the nation. The important question is: will the merger make them better or will the reduced competition in the ultra-low-end of flying make the combined company even worse? Frontier, Spirit airlines announce merger - The Washington Post

We've heard so much pride about how "resilient" our kids have been during COVID. But why were they forced to be?

Today's Videos

First, related to my guest Josh Young and his attorney Will Trachtman who are suing the Colorado Dept of Corrections for civil rights and "hostile work environment" violations in their forcing Josh and others to take racist "diversity" and "anti-racism" training, here's an in-depth discussion with them explaining the case.

And finally, as one commenter to this video put it, here's the best thing you'll see all day
