My story begins when I was 16 years old. Top ten in the Nation for competitive road cycling. I would compete in stage races against semi-professionals in their 30's and became the New Mexico State Champion and road race leader for the state. I am still the youngest to ever win the Tour of the Gila in the category which I was competing. January 23 of 2016 was the day it all changed. Being hit by a car at 60 MPH, I was declared dead at the scene. After being in a coma for two weeks, I miraculously opened my eyes. Paralyzed on my left side. I was in the ICU for a month, then I went to Craig Hospital in Denver for two months, where I learned how to live again. A nationally ranked cyclist who had to relearn how to walk, eat, talk, function again.

AUSTRALIA RESTRICTS THE WRONG THING Australia already has some of the strictest gun laws in the Western world and they just announced MORE after this past weekend's Bondi Beach massacre. They are banning the wrong thing. At least they've come out to admit that the attack was ISIS inspired after finding an ISIS flag in the vehicle of the murderers. How do we support free speech and a free society and NOT start to recognize that ISIS inspired people use that against us? That is a genuine question I have.

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE DRIVE IN WINDSOR? After a recent story about Colorado having some of the best drivers (I know, I know) this follow up story did a deep dive on where the best and worst drivers are. DENVER'S CITY COUNCIL VIRTUE SIGNALS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER CITY COUNCIL And they had plenty of chances to posture and talk about morality and more importantly the immorality of ICE. Not the immorality of people who broke the law to come here, somehow they are exempted. They denied more storage space to an airline that leases planes to ICE for deportations. Oh well, I think this comment by Kevin Flynn says it all:
Councilmember Kevin Flynn noted that rejecting the lease means the airline will use common-use areas at the airport for free, resulting in no revenue collection for Denver.
Got that? They will STILL get the space, but the virtue signalers on the Council won't get any of their filthy lucre. Idiots.
AURORA ACTIVISTS WILL DESTROY THAT CITY The new progressive City Council is now working, and the same activists who have been disrupting meetings for over a year now by not following the rules and yelling and carrying on had the nerve to praise the new council for it's "return to civility". That's the playbook. They want the City Council to fire Police Chief Todd Chamberlain because they hate anyone who really wants to protect law abiding citizens from scumbags and criminals. I hope they get what they want and I hope they get it good and hard. I'm still rooting for Aurora but have zero confidence good decisions will be made by this council.
A PROUD IMMIGRANT TAKES ON ILHAN OMAR and Oh MY I love this column so much because I think for a vast majority of immigrants this is the story. What sent the author off was this video about Ilhan Omar, the American hating representative from Little Mogadishu in Minnesota.
MILLENNIALS REALLY GOT SCREWED BY DEI And this column from Compact by a white straight male millennial is very illuminating. I know there are wacko people who will celebrate this as some sort of comeuppance because white men have ruled the world for so long (no offense, but it's true) but we've kneecapped men. And that is not good. When men don't have work, they don't have families, and they get very destructive. This is the dynamic in play in Middle Eastern countries and within immigrant groups in Europe. Bored men are not great for society (again, no offense, but it's true). Read the column to see how DEI simply erased opportunity and jobs for white men overnight. It's more than a little concerning. We're seeing this play out with the whining from CBS News Staff about the new pick for anchor of CBS Evening News. They don't care about winning, they care about statistics and it's the same amount of unfair as it was for women and minorities for years, and that doesn't make it right. Choose the best candidate. Period.
TIME TO BUY A GENERATOR Because Xcel, after being found liable for fires created by its downed power lines, is going to be cutting off power when weather creates dangerous conditions. LUKE SPENCER DIED! The General Hospital character of Luke Spencer died multiple times, only to be resurrected when the actor who played him, Tony Geary, wanted to come back. Now Tony Geary has passed away and I'm bit heartbroken. His storyline on GH would NEVER be allowed today. You see, Luke raped Laura early on, only to have them fall in love and become the first SuperCouple to arise from a soap opera. Holy cow, the youngs would lose their minds. RIP Tony Geary.
