JEFFCO SCHOOL BOARD RACE: Lots of you asking who I like in this race and Dougco, so here you go: This board needs to be flipped, please vote for Denine Echevarria (she's a left winger but hopefully reasonable), Samuel Myrant, and Gloria "Terri" Gascon for JeffCo Schools.
DOUGCO SCHOOLS RACE: I would love to see Vail, Kramer, Gambill, and Smith elected.
DENVER SCHOOL BOARD RACE: All of these candidates lean left on some things, but that's Denver. I'd support Alex Magaña, Mariana del Hierro, Caron Blanke, and Timiya Jackson.
CHERRY CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT This district desperately needs help and you should vote for Amanda Thayer and Tatyana Sturm.

Oh, and that the union is trying to paint three candidates who aren't even on the board now as the problem in JeffCo. Nice to be able to count on uneducated voters, which they clearly are.

Because they cluster in one area and drag the whole block down. You know when you're driving in a strange city that if you see a plaza with a pot shop, a tattoo parlor, and rent to own furniture you've hit the poor part of town. Aurora wants to spread that out. I think this is a good idea and I'm pro business. I think having too many of these types of places prevents other businesses from locating there.

HOW THE FED LOST THE PLOT As the Federal Reserve has a tremendous amount of power over our economic lives you really should read this article on the history of the Fed in recent times and those who led it. The Fed should have ONE job and they have taken on more than they should, leading to the kind of bad decision making that we've seen thus far (QE I'm looking at you). The Feds overly generous buying of government debt has helped create the inflation we see today, though we've managed to tame it without a recession (so far) which is a pretty neat trick.

No offense, but for that kind of money you can easily put well paid real security guards at each store armed with long rifles and a bad attitude. Now they are closing stores and laying off corporate employees because of it.
