SKO BUFFS! Because now I'm very invested in them winning the Big 12 Tournament since they have now eaten my show three days in a row and I don't want that to be for nought. They take over at 12:30 again to play Houston and if they win it will NOT affect tomorrow's show. SKO BUFFS!
JOIN ME ON FACEBOOK LIVE FOR A HOT MINUTE AFTER THE SHOW IS OVER And you can do that here. I'll do a little Ask Me Anything and talk about my new side hustle I've got happening. Here is the FB page link!
RUSSIA HAS DEMANDS as they ponder the proposed 30 day cease fire lofted by the Trump administration. I see one of these demands that is likely a non-starter, and that is no foreign troops in Ukraine. There will need to be security guarantees going forward for Ukraine to give up fighting and frankly, I don't blame them. From Reuters:
Those earlier terms include no NATO membership for Kyiv, no deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine, and international recognition that Crimea and four provinces belong to Russia.
We'll see what happens next.
BOEBERT UNCONCERNED ABOUT A POSSIBLE CENSURE What are they trying to censure her for now? She made a comment about Rep. Al Green's "pimp cane" that has been called racist by Democrats. I have to agree with her about one part of this statement:
On March 11, Boebert was back on Real America’s Voice News and said that she stands by her comment, as she has “never seen Al Green actually use his cane to walk,” and rather only sees him shaking it “for years” at the Capitol.
I said literally the same thing as he used the cane to shake at the President but DIDN'T use the cane to walk out of the chamber. What is the cane for if he doesn't use it to walk? She probably could have left "pimp" out and added "show" instead to avoid this entire mess but what are you gonna do. The entire censure process is an antiquated measure from back when people took honor and shame seriously, by the way. Now it means nothing.
THE DEMOCRATIC STRATEGY IS MOSTLY LAWFARE NOW That's what Senator John Hickenlooper said in a rare Zoom town hall yesterday. He said this:
“We're trying to clog up the floor as best we can, or blocking bad bills which (ever) way we can,” the former Denver mayor and Colorado governor said. “There are a couple of thousand lawyers that are litigating every instance of illegality and of suspected illegality.”
He also gave evidence of the Deep State we've been told is our imagination when he said this:
He also disclosed that whistleblowers are “in place in pretty much every agency.”
“They (whistleblowers) are stepping up," Hickenlooper told the council. “We're making sure that they know how to how to get in front of the public and protect their anonymity if they need that. But as whistleblowers, they are a vital source of the facts about which laws are being broken and where and how that's been happening.”
Of course there are. Of course. Good news though, the 73 year old said the Dems are bringing in 23 year old influencers to help them "go viral".
“I've learned more in the last six months about social media,” he said. ”Now, as a Democratic caucus in the Senate, we are having young, 22 to 26-year-old influencers with three, four or five million followers coming in and describing how we need to go and get viral.”
You know what goes viral? Lies and divisiveness. This should be fun.
AG PHIL WEISER GOT THE MEMO And is now one of several AGs doing the bidding of big time Democrat law firms who just had their security clearances yanked by President Trump. You can read it here but I don't care. This law firm probably shouldn't have been so gung ho in providing free services to attack Trump when he was in office the first time. Security clearances are a privilege, not a right, as Biden proved during his term when he yanked Donald Trump's access to intel normally given other Presidents.
DEMS MAY SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT And unlike the last times when they were able to shift blame onto the Republicans, they have a problem this time, and that is the downfall of the mainstream media. The lack of influence from traditionally Democrat friendly outlets means their message won't land, and they are struggling with image and a coherent message right now. This article says a shutdown will only make them look weaker than they already are.
WEISER IS ALSO SALTY ABOUT THE FEDS LOOKING INTO TINA PETERS I believe that if the Department of Justice is NOT politicized they will find the prosecution and sentence of Tina Peters to be just and fair. She was a public authority who abused her authority, lied about a man's identity, and released private information in the Don Quixote-like quest to prove vote manipulation (which did not occur). She chose NOT to follow the state laws and procedures in place (that other counties used) to secure election integrity and she was sentenced harshly in part because she STILL believes she was above the law because her intent was "pure". That only works for Democrats, Tina. Weiser has filed a response to the DoJ and it's clear he believes this wasn't a politically motivated prosecution. He has a strong point when he says that a Republican prosecutor and a jury from conservative Mesa County were involved in her conviction.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH As Coloradans are about to find out when they are asked to give up MORE of their TABOR refunds to pay for school lunches for kids like mine with parents who can fully afford to buy them. This editorial has more.
WE NEED TO EXIT THE NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE IDIOCY Although I would have relished the meltdown that would have occurred had Colorado been forced to give its Electoral College votes to Donald Trump. Heh. Read more here.
DEMS WANT WARNING STICKERS ON GAS PUMPS and I feel sorry for the gas station owners who are going to face fines of $20,000 if someone peels off the stupid stickers on gas pumps that tell pumpers that GLOBAL WARMING IS GOING TO KILL US. I'm not actually sure what the dumb stickers will say but a couple of female (of course) Dems are hellbent on making this happen. Is this worth even talking about in a state with our problems? Really?

CAN MAHA BEAT THE JUNK FOOD LOBBY? This is a good article on the battle brewing on food assistance benefits being used on junk food. The numbers are staggering when it comes to people on food assistance using it for "food" that doesn't provide any nutritional value. Will RFK Jr withstand the onslaught from Big Food to keep people hooked on their junk? We'll see.
HEY LOOK, THE DEFICIT IS ALREADY OVER A TRILLION And we aren't even halfway through the fiscal year. THIS IS WHY Massie voted no on the CR, which continues ALL the spending the Biden admin ramped up. But I'm sure it will be fine. Read this bit:
For the year, the deficit totaled $1.15 trillion through the first five months of fiscal 2025. The total is about $318 billion more than the same span in 2024, or roughly 38% higher, and set a record for the period.
Net costs to finance the $36.2 trillion national debt edged lower to $74 billion for the month. However, the total net interest payments year to date rose to $396 billion, just behind national defense and health. Social Security and Medicare are the largest costs in the U.S. budget.
The deficit swelled in the final three years of former President Joe Biden’s term, growing from $1.38 trillion to $1.83 trillion.
But I'm sure it will be fine.
NOMINATE YOUR FAVORITE INTERNATIONAL FOOD FROM AURORA! I think Aurora's food scene is better than anywhere else in the metro. No, they don't have the fancy, high dollar joints, but what they do have is the BEST selection of food from cultures around the world, and many of them are still very affordable. Now you can nominate your favorite dish for an upcoming competition! Find out more here.

WHERE DID ALL THE EPA MONEY GO? That is the mystery being sorted out now as $20 BILLION was pushed out the door in what is likely an illegal fashion to pay off Friends of Biden before he left. That's my take on this so far anyway.
