OUR FIRST GUEST IS A THERAPY DOG NAMED REX Luckily his hander Officer Gray will be with him, but Rex is coming in to talk about a big fundraiser in August to help other dogs get to be therapy dogs. Find out more about the Rex Run for Pawsitivity and become a sponsor by clicking here. He visits at 1.

DOUGCO COMMISSIONER ABE LAYDON ON AT 1:30 If you heard his fellow Commissioner Lora Thomas on Wednesday this is the other side of the story about why Laydon and his other Commissioner George Teal removed Lora from her leadership role.

MIKE ROSEN IN AT 2 TO DISCUSS MOVIES AND WHATNOT

REMEMBER THE GUN RIGHTS RESTRICTIONS BEING PUSHED IN EDGEWATER? After the story of the collusion between a board member and gun grabbers was made public, they have oddly backed down. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

I CRIED SO HARD WATCHING THIS YESTERDAY MY EYES ARE STILL SWOLLEN I thought this would be a good way to start your Friday. You must have your volume up. DOUBLE CLICK ON THE VIDEO TO GET TO THE ORIGINAL, IT'S NOT FORMATTING PROPERLY HERE.

I UGLY CRIED ABOUT THIS BLOG POST THIS MORNING My friend and goat farmer Kelly Maher writes a lovely blog about her urban farm and her goats, but this one broke my ever loving heart. If you can't ugly cry privately right now, you may want to come back to it, but it's so worth the read.

DID YOU SEE THAT A JUDGE GUTTED THE STUPID HOMELESS SWEEP RESTRICTIONS? You know, the ones created out of thin air by another judge when he ruled in favor of the urban outdoorsman who plague our city? The Denver Gazette (have you subscribed already?) did a really good editorial about it here.

HEY LOOK, A WORKING MOM PAID OFF HER STUDENT LOANS WITHOUT GOVERNMENT FORGIVENESS And I love this story because it's about grit and determination, which is all it takes to pay off student loans. Read this woman's story, but I'm going to brag on my oldest and his wife, because they are 31 and 27 and totally debt free. Not student debt, ANY debt.

WHAT DOES THE SUPREME COURT INVESTIGATION LOOK LIKE? Thank goodness there was no law broken or I fear the Department of Justice would be the one investigating. A leak is a horrible breach of decorum, but not against the law, so it falls on the Marshal of the Supreme Court to figure this out.

A GAY BLACK PERSON IS NOW THE WHITE HOUSE SPOKESPERSON and I'm sure she's lovely but since all I know is that she's black and gay because that's all anyone is talking about I'll have to wait to see how she does once Circle Back Psaki leaves for good. Read about this gay, Black person here.

WANT TO FIGHT CANCER? GRAB SOME HOT PEPPERS I guess I'm lucky that hot peppers are a decent part of my diet, as they seem to have special powers to fight cancer. Capsaicin, the chemical which gives peppers their heat, seems to have some cancer fighting powers that are significant enough that scientists are trying to figure out a way to get it into patients without actually eating it, as that causes some significant issues.

COULD THESE ANTI OXIDANTS STAVE OFF DEMENTIA? Eat your oranges and your spinach if you want a health brain. A sixteen year study shows that people with these three antioxidants found in spinach and oranges had a lower chance of developing dementia later. Read about it here.

THE WHITE HOUSE WON'T CONDEMN PROTESTS AT JUSTICES HOMES and this is shameful. When asked about protests Psaki threw this excuse making word salad out where she essentially says people can protest outside justices houses because they are mad. Am I wrong? Read this:

"I don't have an official U.S. government position on where people protest," Psaki said. "We want it of course to be peaceful, and certainly the president would want to people's privacy to be respected. But I think we shouldn't lose the point here. The reason people are protesting is because women across the country are worried about their fundamental rights that have been law for 50 years, their rights to make choices about their own bodies and their own health care, are at risk. That's why people are protesting — they're unhappy, they're scared."

LA'S SOFT ON CRIME POLICIES LET'S CHAPPELLE'S ATTACKER OFF EASY He's being charged with a misdemeanor after tackling the comedian who was on stage doing a set at the Hollywood Bowl. No felony charges, just misdemeanors, and no word on what, if any sentence he faces. This is a travesty and the result of the policies passed by politicians most comedians probably voted for.

WHAT SCREEN ADDICTION DOES TO KIDS This is really, really sad and really, really important for parents to recognize and stop. This teacher writes how after watching children in his classroom struggle with screen addiction he's sending his kids to a screenless school. I don't disagree, but there are very few screen free schools in our area. They do exist though!

WHY I'M AGAINST COLLEGE LOAN DEBT FORGIVENESS First off, I'm against relieving anyone of the responsibility they willingly, if stupidly, signed up for. This list of idiotic college classes is another good reason to not forgive. I shouldn't have to pay for your surfing class.

MORE GERMAN COMPARED TO OTHER LANGUAGES I love this so much.

THIS STORY WILL WARM YOUR HEART EVEN IF IT INVOLVES THE YANKEES It all started when a Blue Jays fan caught a monster Aaron Judge homer and immediately handed it to a young Yankees fan sitting near him, and the boy hugged him and cried with joy. OMG just watch:

But it gets better. The Yankees tracked down the boy and the guy who caught the ball and brought them to the Yankees dugout, where the young boy got to meet his hero Aaron Judge. This is why sports rule.

POLITICIANS WONDER WHY POOR PEOPLE NEED GALLONS OF GAS AND MILK and thankfully the Babylon Bee is here for it.

WHY NOT LISTEN TO THE EX DRUG DEALER WHEN IT COMES TO FENTANYL? I find this very interesting. A guy who was an addict for 27 years and a drug dealer for three testified at the Capitol about the need to refelonize fentanyl. Read about his testimony here, and I have to say I think we need to pay attention, as he is the person that this bill is directed at.

HOW MANY OF THESE OLD TIMEY THINGS CAN YOU NAME? and before you yell at me for calling them Old Timey, Dave sent this to me.
