Even though Dave has sent them dates for EVERY SINGLE MONTH until the end of the year, his communications team seems to think they are just suggestions so they don't actually put them in the calendar BECAUSE WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT? I've said before that I like the Mayor and I do, but this communications team does not take this monthly interview seriously at all so it might be done. That would be disappointing but I'm done being treated like an afterthought by power mad bureaucrats who can't do their jobs.

DOXXING IS ONLY BAD WHEN THE WRONG PEOPLE DO IT That seems to be the end result of what I'll refer to as the Taylor Lorenz Tale Of Woe and Tears story. Taylor Lorenz is a tech reporter for the Washington Post. She recently did some tv where she cried because of the online hate she gets for her work. She decried the journalists who brought her on air for making it worse! So what does she do? She tracks down the creator of one of the best Twitter accounts EVER, @libsoftiktok. If you don't follow this account, which you should, it's simply a repost of whackadoodle liberals saying and doing things that are INSANE. The kicker here is that these people are posting on public social media sites, and she merely reposts their posts with or without snarky commentary. That's the gig. Taylor Lorenz seems to be mad about the reach of this account, because it makes the whackadoodle people who post this stuff look utterly insane, which they are. The hook of this story is that the account is inherently anti-Trans and anti-LGBTQ, but if you follow her, she only posts things that are truly beyond the pale in terms of what is being taught or told to little children. If a pre school teachers is so proud of having her little children pick pronoun pins every day, why not help spread the word? The reason this account is so dangerous to the Left is it exposes, in the Left's own words, the truth about what is happening and it's not okay.
MASKS ARE DONE ON AIRPLANES AND AT DIA Although I've simply declined to wear one in the airport on my last few trips. Now it's official, the mask mandate is dead at DIA. Do what you want to do, but I'm flying free of the face diaper.
COLORADO IS DROPPING SOME CASH INTO OUR HOMELESS SITUATION To the tune of $200 MILLION in the next few years. Some of the things this money will be spent on are good, like substance abuse treatment and other supportive services, but I want to know how they will get people into these new facilities. Will they begin arresting homeless people for petty crime in order to get them into treatment? If we wait for them to ask, they will never go into treatment. I am glad we are focusing on this, but I have questions about how this money will be spent overall.
THIS AS HOMELESS PEOPLE DIE IN DROVES This story by the New York Times should be the first of many stories about homeless people dying at an alarming rate. At least it should be alarming, but do you even hear about it? How high are the numbers in Denver? In Colorado? We don't know and yet we continue to try to make living this way less inhumane to what end? Allowing people to wallow in their addictions while living on the street is not compassion and is literally killing people DAILY.
WE AREN'T MAKING ENOUGH BABIES IN COLORADO And there are a lot of reasons, but young people need to recognize that if they don't make new little taxpayers there will be no one to take care of them when they are old. Read more here.

WHY GENDER AFFIRMING CARE FOR KIDS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA This column talks to multiple young women who decided they were trans during their teens when they had serious mental health issues while the girls were trying to maneuver through puberty and the teen years. They found online communities that told them they were trans, and a medical community eager to "affirm their gender" with medical interventions like top surgery to remove breasts and ongoing testosterone treatments. They also found that these interventions did NOT give them the results they wanted and they eventually detransitioned, but not before permanent, life altering surgery was performed. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE READ A NUTRITION LABEL??? I know the answer, because they don't know anything about nutrition. This story tells us that just 9% of Americans can properly read a food nutrition label and choose the "healthiest" option. They then say the labels are "confusing" when I can assure you they are not. Just because you don't know how to interpret a label doesn't mean the label is wrong, it means the state of nutrition education in this country is dismal. The problem is we think the marketing on the front of the package matters when it clearly doesn't. Please find someone to help you if you don't understand nutrition, there is a lot of info on the web from Registered Dieticians that you can trust.

THIS AS CANADA BANS FOREIGN HOME BUYERS I heard about this five years ago during a trip to Vancouver. Foreign investors had snatched up a lot of property in the city, much of which was sitting empty as rents rose to really high levels. Now Canada has gone and done it, they've banned foreigners from buying property for two years in the hopes they can cool off the overheated housing market there. We'll see if it has an impact.

During the last two years when marches and riots took place to protest the very small number of unarmed black men who are killed by police each year and really dangerous unintended side effect happened. More black people were killed year over year, and more black people than white people were murdered than white people.
