Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank

Robert Austin from the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank tells Angie Nadine about The Circle of Light Photo Project. The photographs were taken by corneal transplants recipients who were previously 100% blind or partially blind. These people see the world differently with their new eyesight and it’s evident in their photos.

This year they had 250 entries and enlisted the help of professional photographers to narrow it down to 30, however, all the entries will be presented in a slideshow. The nonprofit teamed up with the RedLine Contemporary Art Center, another nonprofit that fosters engagement between artists and communities, to host the gallery. The exhibit is open August 14-24 and there will be a silent auction the last day.

Anyone can be an organ donor, even those were are blind. Learn more at corneas.org.
