The Sean Payton era has begun for the Denver Broncos.

Monday, the organization introduced its newest head coach at UCHealth Training Center.

The Broncos acquired Payton's contract rights from the New Orleans Saints for a first round draft pick this year and a second round selection in 2024. Denver also received New Orleans' third round pick in 2024.

Payton was the head coach of the Saints from 2005-2021 and led New Orleans to a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, 2010. Hi steams compiled a record of 161-97 including playoffs.

Payton will have the challenge of trying to get the Broncos back to the playoffs. They have been at home for the postseason for seven consecutive years.

"I don't like making predictions," Payton said. " I think it's realistic for our fan base to expect a completely different type of culture. And I think it's realistic for them to expect us to win. Ultimately, it's how we do in the fall. So we kind of earn it with our fans and we have fantastic fans who will appreciate that."

Payton said he wanted to be an NFL head coach again and his goal with the Broncos is simple: Win.

"You get a much clearer vision as to what's important regardless of whether you throw for 200 yards or what you defensively or offensively, it's to win and to win and to win again," Payton said.

Payton talked about the desire to get back into coaching, why the Broncos were the right fit for him, working with GM George Paton, his thoughts about quarterback Russell Wilson, what he expects from players, his attention to detail and more.

The entire press conference is below.

KOA Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan spoke with Coach Payton.

Logan also spoke with Broncos owner and CEO Greg Penner.

Broncos general manager George Paton spent a few minutes with Logan as well.
