Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar scored two more goals to lead the Avs to a 6-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Ball Arena.
Makar now has 24 goals this season, a franchise record for a defenseman. He broke a 1-1 tie at 13:46 of the first period and started a string of four straight Avs goals that built their lead to 5-1 at 12:19 mark of the second period.
Makar capped the scoring with 11:35 left in the game.
Colorado peppered Philly goalie Carter Hart with 51 shots.
Along with Makar's two goals, Nazem Kadri, J.T. Compher, Mikko Rantanen, and Kurtis MacDermid also scored for the Avs.
The Avs have won five of their last six games.
