The Denver Nuggets got off to a quick start and it proved to be big in a 127-115 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night at Ball Arena.
The Nuggets outscored the Clippers 37-27 in the opening period, which proved to be key in a competitive game.
Denver got balanced scoring with all five starters in double figures, led by center Nikola Jokic who had 30 points (9-15 from the field, 12-13 from the free throw line), 14 rebounds and six assists.
Aaron Gordon had 16 points and seven rebounds. Will Barton also scored 16 points, as did Bones Hyland off the bench.
The Nuggets host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m. MDT.
