The Rams and Buffs have their dancing shoes on for the first time since 2013.

The CSU men's team and the CU women's team are in the NCAA tournament.

The Colorado men's team made the NIT.

The Rams went 25-5 this year, 14-4 in the Mountain West Conference. They are the sixth seed in the South Regionals and will play 11th-seeded Michigan (17-14, 11-9 in the Big Ten).

CSU and Michigan will play on Thursday, March 17 at 10:15 a.m. MDT.

The six seed is the best-ever for Colorado State. The Rams last made the tournament in 2013 when they were an eight seed. CSU beat Missouri and lost to Louisville that year.

In addition, CSU head coach Niko Medved signed an amended contract that runs through the 2028-2029 season.

The CU women's team is seeded seventh in the Greensboro Region and will open against 10th-seeded Creighton (20-9, 15-5 in the Big East) on Friday, March 18 in Iowa City, Iowa.

Tip time should be revealed later this week.

The Buffs earned their spot in the tournament by virtue of going 22-8 overall, 9-7 in the Pac-12.

Colorado's last appearance in the Big Dance was 2013 when the Buffs hosted first and second round games. Colorado lost to Kansas, 67-52, in the opening round.

This year, the women's tournament expands to 68 teams for the first time. The Final Four will be on Saturday, April 1 and Monday, April 3 in Minneapolis.
