The Denver Nuggets nearly gave the game away.
But they will take the win and come back home.
Despite blowing an 18-point lead, the Nuggets beat the Sacramento Kings, 106-100, Wednesday night in Sacramento.
With 1:57 left in the first half, the Nuggets looked like they would run away and hide. Monte Morris hit a three-pointer and the Denver lead was 59-41.
But Sacramento came all the way back. The Kings took a 92-91 lead on a dunk by De'Arron Fox wit 4:49 left in the game.
Never to worry.
Austin Rivers hit a three and then Monte Morris drained a jumper and the Nuggets were up by four points. They held on over the final 3:21 to won their fourth straight game. They have won 12 of their last 14 games.
Center Nikola Jokic continues to make a bid for his second straight MVP award. He had 38 points, 18 rebounds and seven assists. Morris finished with 20 points on 8-11 shooting.
The Nuggets get right back to work on Thursday, March 10. They host the Golden St. Warriors at 8 p.m. MST.
