The Colorado Buffaloes good run in the Pac-12 Tournament ended Thursday night with a 71-45 loss to the 2nd-ranked Stanford Cardinal at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Cardinal was just too much for the Buffs to handle.
After a close first quarter that ended with Stanford up 11-10, the Cardinal poured it on in the second, outscoring the Buffs 22-8. They wrapped up the game with an 18-8 fourth quarter advantage to win going away.
Guard Kindyll Wetta led CU with 12 points. Jaylyn Sherrod added 10.
Colorado is 22-8 while Stanford raises its record to 27-3.
CU will now hope for a bid into the NCAA Tournament. The field will be unveiled on Selection Sunday, March 13, at 6 p.m. MDT.
