It was close through three quarters.
But a big fourth quarter pushed the 4th-seeded Colorado Buffaloes to an opening round win over the #12 Washington Huskies, 64-52, in the Pac-12 Tournament at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Buffs led 21-17 at halftime. Through three quarters, they were up only 40-39.
The fourth quarter, though, was a different story. Colorado held a 24-13 advantage and was able to pull away.
The Huskies were within 49-48 before the Buffs went on the decisive run of the game. They outscored Washington 13-3 over a 5:50 span and led 62-51 with 20 seconds to go.
Peanut Tuitele scored a team-high 16 points for CU. Mya Hollingshed added 15 points.
Colorado is now 21-7. Washington is 7-16.
