Just when you think you have the Colorado Avalanche on the ropes, the Avs offense comes to life.
And things change in a hurry.
Friday night, the Avs erased a 3-0 deficit and went on to blow out the Winnipeg Jets, 6-3.
Gabriel Landeskog had a hat trick for Colorado while Nathan MacKinnon scored two goals (on a franchise-record 14 shots on goal), Andre Burakovsky added a goal and an assist and Mikko Rantanen had three assists.
Winnipeg jumped in front with three goals in the first 16:26 of the game.
By the 17:17 mark of the second period, the Avs had tied the game at three. Landeskog scored twice and MacKinnon added a goal in that period.
Colorado pulled away with three more goals in the third.
The Avalanche get right back in action on Saturday, February 26 at Vegas. Faceoff is set for 8 p.m. MST.
