All wins are good.
But some are a little more memorable than others.
Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone won't soon forget his team's 128-110 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
The win was Malone's 300th as Nuggets head coach. In the locker room after the game, Nuggets center Nikola Jokic gave Coach Malone a game ball. He is now 300-232 in his seventh year at the helm.
Before coming to the Nuggets, Malone was the head coach of the Kings in the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons.
The Nuggets showed early on they were ready to go after a week off for the All-Star break.
Denver was up 35-25 after one quarter. And they closed the deal with a strong fourth quarter, outscoring the Kings 36-23 over the final 12 minutes to pull away.
Will Barton hit 11-17 shots from the floor on his way to a team-high 31 points. Jokic had 25 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.
Denver had a hot-shooting night, shooting 55.8% (48-86) from the field and making 15-35 three-pointers (42.9%).
The Nuggets and Kings square off again, this time at Ball Arena in Denver, on Saturday, February 26 at 7 p.m. MST.
