The CU women's basketball team started a four-game road trip with a solid 73-56 win over the California Golden Bears on Friday night in Berkeley.
Forward Peanut Tuitele led the Buffs with 15 points on 6-11 from the field. Mya Hollingshed added 14 points and seven rebounds.
CU led 20-11 after one quarter but Cal closed to within 33-29 at halftime.
But the third quarter belonged to the Buffs, who outscored the Golden Bears 25-13 to take a commanding 58-42 lead heading to the final quarter.
The Buffs are now 16-6 overall, 5-6 in the Pac-12. Cal slips to 10-7, 1-5 in conference.
