Bud Black is sticking around for at least another season.
KOA has confirmed that Black and the Colorado Rockies have agreed on a one-year contract extension that will keep him as manager through the 2023 season.
The Denver Post first reported the deal.
Black has been the Rockies manager since 2017. In his five seasons, the Rockies have gone 349-359 (.493). Black helped the Rockies make the playoffs in 2017 and 2018. He is the only manager to lead the Rockies to the postseason in back-to-back years.
Black, 64, had signed a three-year extension in February of 2019 which was set to expire after the 2022 season.

The Rockies are scheduled to open Spring Training play on Saturday, February 26 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The current lockout, however, has that in doubt. KOA will provide updated information on both Spring Training and the regular season as developments occur.
